The Temporary Accommodation Service was activated on 29 August 2022 in response to damage caused by severe weather events, flooding and landslips in the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough region. The Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) will continue to provide support during the ongoing recovery.
Our matching and placement coordinators are working with affected households to understand their housing needs, identify temporary accommodation options, and provide guidance on how to access support services such as insurance advice and financial assistance.
Register your details with us and a temporary accommodation staff member will call you within 5 working days to discuss what solution will work for you. If you are currently staying with friends or whānau and think you may need to use the service in the coming weeks or months, we recommend you register with the service now.
If you need more information see:
- Our process for information on how we work
- How we can help meet your needs if your household has specific requests.
