Temporary Accommodation Service (TAS) activated on the 21 November 2023 for the 7 November Wairoa flooding event. TAS is currently accepting registrations from displaced residents in Wairoa who need assistance finding temporary accommodation.

Our matching and placement coordinators are working with affected households to understand their housing needs, identify temporary accommodation options, and provide guidance on how to access support services such as insurance advice and financial assistance.

Register your details with us and a temporary accommodation staff member will call you within 2 working days to discuss what solution will work for you. If you are currently staying with friends or whānau and think you may need to use the service in the coming weeks or months, we recommend you register with the service now.
